There are some things a home shouldn’t be without; a lawnmower is one of them, and a quality vacuum cleaner is another, but why stop there? If you have a range of quality tools in your cupboard, you always have the option of taking on a DIY project and saving some money.
Multipurpose Drill
When renovating your home or garden space, you need to drill holes from time to time. A quality drill is needed to make holes in wood for DIY, metal for fitting brackets to walls, and for creating pilot holes for screws. There are many drills on the market, so which one should you buy?
There are two things you should look for when investing in a drill for the home, does the drill have a cable, or is it wireless? This is an important feature because it determines how effective the drill will be. Also, consider the brand you’re buying; quality Metrology Parts perform better.
Dremel MultitoolA sander might not be your top priority when moving into a new home, but you are guaranteed to need one at some point, whether you are undertaking a full renovation project or you just need some DIY tools around to support general work. A mouse sander is versatile and very useful.
A mouse sander can be used to take the top coat off wooden furniture or sand it down to prepare it for varnishing. It can also be used to prepare surfaces like skirting, stairs, and walls for applied coatings. If you don’t have a mouse sander, keep it in mind as you will eventually.
Cutting in Brushes
When it comes to decorating your home, you can do it yourself or call in the professionals. Professional services might be more convenient, but they also cost you money, so if you can learn how to decorate yourself, you can save money and still enjoy a professional finish.
Whether you are sealing the edge of the skirting after a renovation or the bathroom tiles to freshen them up and make them look more appealing, you need a sealant gun. Sealant guns are easy to find in home depot stores; they are also a standard size for most sealant types.
I agree about having a basic tool kit at home! I am not handy, by any means, but have fixed items with my drill many times

ReplyDeleteIts such a good idea to have basic tools at home. We do a lot of renovating, so we have too many. Half the time I don't know where everything is because it doesn't get put back where its supposed to. We probably use our drill the most.
