The Nationwide Debt Direct scholarship was created with the belief that everyone who wants to pursue a higher education should have the opportunity to do so.  Nationwide Debt Direct is committed to helping students receive a higher education, while also keeping their student debt as low as possible. Student loan debt statistics are shocking and can become debilitating to some students. This scholarship was created to show NDD’s commitment to supporting students who have thought about their financial future as well as their academic future.

Students from all majors and areas of study are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible, each applicant will be asked to submit a short essay discussing how you plan to keep your student loan debt to a minimum. The award for this scholarship is $1,000 and all applications must be submitted by May 1st, 2018. At the conclusion of the application period, a committee will confer and select a winner by May 30, 2018. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by June 31, 2018.


The following people are eligible to apply for the Nationwide Debt Direct scholarship:

High school students graduating this calendar year, and have been accepted into a college, or university in the USA.

Students currently enrolled in a college or university, and not having reached their senior year.

All applicants must be a U.S. citizen from the 50 states or the District of Columbia.

Application process:

Please complete each section of this form as all fields are required. By submitting an application, the applicant gives Nationwide Debt Direct and affiliated parties consent to use their essay, name and information for marketing and promotional purposes. There are no costs or fees associated with applying for this scholarship.
